Next, download a pilot client used to connect your simulator to the network.

BVA recommends the use of vPilot; and instructions for downloading and installing vPilot are provided below.

Please note that all pilot clients are third-party software developed for use on the VATSIM network.

To install vPilot, start by dowloading the program from http://vpilot.metacraft.com/Download.aspx. We recommend installing the Latest Stable Version (top link).

Install the latest stable version of vPilot from http://vpilot.metacraft.com.

Once the file has downloaded, run the installer. You do not need to specify an installation location.

Select your desired installation options for vPilot.

When the installer has completed, check the "Launch vPilot" option, then click "Finish".

Once the installation has completed, launch vPilot.

Is vPilot (or another VATSIM pilot client) installed?
Yes: continue to the next step
