Welcome to the Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020 Edition) of Boston Virtual ARTCC's Getting Started Guide. This guide was produced on August 20, 2020 based on the version of Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) available at the time. We expect this portion of the Getting Started Guide will evolve as the new simulator continues to receive updates. Before continuing, please make sure you have completed the following prerequisites:

• You have an account with VATSIM.
• You know your VATSIM CID and password.
• You are familiar with the basics of flying MSFS offline; you're able to spawn an aircraft, fly basic IFR and VFR flights, and follow instructions from ATC.

Once you have completed these items, you are ready to proceed through configuring MSFS and connecting it to the VATSIM network!
