It’s a sight-seeing extravaganza as we store the airliners away and bring out our GA best to tour the Great Lakes region! We’re staffing as many smaller fields as we can around all of the Great Lakes. Start off at SYR, GTB and YTZ on Lake Ontario, and make your way to ERI and BKL on Lake Erie. You can stop by MBS on Lake Huron, or head to GRB, GRR, and MKE on Lake Michigan. Let’s also not forget DLH AND YQT on Lake Superior! So join Cleveland, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Toronto, and Winnipeg from 23z to 03z as we ditch the Class A for the sights and light up the lakes! Event Fields: KSYR, KGTB, CYTZ, KERI, KBKL, KMBS, KGRB, KBRR, KMKE, KDLH, CYQT Date & Time: July 29th 2022, 7:00pm → 11:00pm Eastern (2300z - 0300z)

The East Coast consists of 2,165 miles of shoreline stretching from Maine to Florida. It is the most populated coastal area in the United States and home to several of the nation’s most historic landmarks. The East Coast also features some of the largest airports in the United States, but you will find none of them staffed. That is right – this FNO is featuring all the airspace in between the mega metroplexes you are more used to seeing. Miami ARTCC, Jacksonville ARTCC, Washington Virtual ARTCC, New York ARTCC, and Boston Virtual ARTCC have come together to guarantee staffing at the 10 featured event airports – none of which are Class Bravo airports (by design). We want you to explore what our connected airspaces have to offer from Key West to Palm Beach, Jacksonville to Myrtle Beach, Wilmington to Norfolk, Harrisburg to Islip, and Providence to Manchester. You can expect full staffing along the East Coast for the entirety of the event. The goals of this event are to spread the traffic volumes across all 675,000 sq. miles of airspace, which are lit up for this special night. Event Fields: KMHT, KPVD, KISP, KMDT, KORF, KILM, KMYR, KJAX, KPBI, KEYW Date & Time: June 24th 2022, 7:00pm → 11:00pm Eastern (2300z - 0300z) P.S. These facilities again are selected to give you, the pilots, maximum coverage along the East Coast. If you notice and see several facilities getting most of the traffic, then you can expect delays if you choose to head there as well. We kindly ask and remind you that we have TEN (10) airports staffed, so go out and find that needle in the hay, that diamond in the rough, that airport without delays and fly there instead. P.S.S. No really don’t form conga lines or you can expect to polish off your holding procedures.

Sky Blue Radio, The Pilot Club, and Boston Virtual ARTCC presents a nice Thursday evening fly-in to the Granite State. This event is a hybrid between GA and jet aircraft, so feel free to fly whatever you want! We will have full staffing at Nashua Airport - Boire Field (ASH) and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT). We are here to have a good time and to enjoy the amazing breakfast at the Midfield Cafe! Event Field: KASH (General Aviation) & KMHT (Airlines and Jets) Date & Time: June 2nd, 2022 | 7pm - 10pm Eastern (03/17/22: 2300z - 0200z) Did you know: Nashua, NH is home to both the Boston Consolidated TRACON (A90) and Boston Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZBW). In the Regional Circuit, we staff up multiple of our airports to provide pilots with an opportunity to receive 'gate-to-gate' ATC service for the duration of the event. Pilots are encouraged to fly between the airports and make the return flight if time allows; however, traffic from other airports is welcome as well. The Regional Circuit always creates an immersive atmosphere with busy frequencies and congested airways between the host airports. This Regional Circuit features Albany (ALB), Burlington (BTV), and Bradley (BDL) airports. August 18, 2022 1900-2200ET

We're rolling into our 23rd year of celebrating all that is BVA, and we're inviting you to join us. On Saturday, August 6, our controllers will bring you seven uninterrupted hours of ATC coverage across the entirety of the Boston ARTCC. That includes Boston (KBOS), Bradley (KBDL), Providence (KPVD), Manchester (KMHT), and The Cape. Staffing will be available from 12-7pm ET. We strongly recommend pilots avoid the delays at KBOS and help balance the traffic by flying to the regional airports with local ATC coverage. We're continuing the tradition of hosting our annual Tea Party Poker. Pilots fly to staffed airports earning poker cards, and at the end of the event will have the opportunity to win great prizes from our sponsors. Official Tea Party Poker 2022 rules will be posted at a later date so stay tuned!

Set the parking brake on the airliner and knock the cobwebs off your favorite general aviation aircraft! The General Aviation Fly-In visits locales across the country that are famous for their scenery and general aviation influence. While anything from a single engine Cessna to a regional jet is welcome in this event, ‘low and slow’ offers the best opportunity to experience the scenery. During the event, local air traffic control is staffed at smaller Class C and D airports, with overlying radar controllers to provide VFR Flight Following and IFR services. Fly VFR closed traffic, practice instrument approaches, or fly VFR or IFR between the featured airports: the choice is yours. This week's event features Portland, Bangor, and Portsmouth airports along the coast. Enjoy the frosted coastlines of Maine, and the scenic Casco bay while making the short jaunt between both cities. Maybe even stopover in Bar Harbor for a warm bowl of clam chowder and a lobster roll. June 15th, 2022 1900-2200pm ET

BVA's Minor Facility Showcase gives pilots the opportunity to experience one of our minor airports. Local and overlying air traffic controllers will be providing service for those looking to explore the area, practice instrument approaches, arrive from afar, or just remain in the pattern. With a single focus-airport, this is the perfect opportunity to experience being sequenced at a busier airport with both IFR and VFR arrivals. Boston, New York, and Washington ARTCC's are teaming up for the 8th annual Northeast Corridor FNO on February 18th. Join us from 7-11pm ET (and maybe a bit after) for a heavy rush of traffic along one of the most congested corridors in the world. We'll be fully staffing Washington-National (DCA), John F. Kennedy (JFK), and Boston-Logan (BOS) airports. Come visit some of the best airports the East Coast has to offer! Pilots can expect traffic management initiatives and are advised to distribute throughout the event fields. If you notice a large amount of traffic heading for JFK, and not many arrivals to DCA, you should consider DCA to avoid long wait times and delays.
