Guest Jason Herman Share Posted March 27, 2008 Effective 3/31/08, all VATUSA regional nights have been canceled. At the VATUSA Events Director meeting last night, it was determined that regional nights do not really attract any more traffic than staffing up when it's convenient for all of the controllers within an ARTCC. This simply embraces the long-standing VATSIM phrase "You staff it, they'll come" and "Pilots fly where ServInfo is lit up most." This move will allow ARTCCs (including vZBW) greater flexibility to host ARTCC-sponsored events throughout the week in the near future. Even though Monday nights will no longer be advertised as "Northeast Regional Night" we should still be just as dedicated, if not more, to staffing positions as we were before.
