I haven't looked at the charts either, but he made it sound intresting. We would need a scenery update incluiding that, but I think the scenery team can pull it off. It's also near the water, so maybe we can have an event or something including water planes.

Thanks for the compliments also(I was the BHM_G controller). Like Chris said, it's great to hear positive feedback from a retired controller. I try my best to be patient and calm. You were a great pilot and I'm glad to see you on BVA. Hopefully, I see you in the skies soon and maybe on controller staff right along with us.

Gillies, I heard that some aircraft had fighters flying escort. We aught to have some members flying escort for the event to increase realism.

I would be happy to participate also. I would love to fly escort in a p-51 or some other ww2 fighter.

I like the idea, but it does need some tweaking. I like to fly military aircraft and it would be cool to see the sky filled with ww2 era planes. I would volunteer to fly that p-51.

Matt, I like where you're going with this. It should be an event about once a month with a pilot window of 2-3 hours. Controllers don't really control longer than that. You can't force people to fly from a certain area like Tom said, but I do like the including a recommended area to depart from idea. It would not only be fun for pilots, but it would also be fun for controllers to handle all the traffic coming in. This event would be especially good for long-haul pilots since there are not many events ideal for them. It could use a couple tweaks, but all in all, it's a good idea and I think it would be a big success.
