GETAWAY - Positive feedback reports

I'm now serving BVATC as Administrator with the very serious title "Event Director". ;)

 

While we work hard (as a Team) in providing all members with interesting events, I would like to read from you, using only "positive comments" so we can gather what is pleasing you in our GETAWAY event. This is not a poll. This is only a chance for your to "tweet-BVA" simple happy sentences, not more than 140 characters long, inside this thread.

 

One sentence or two per reply to this post...: this is not a discussion, your word will be positively recieved and will warm our "hard working" hearts... and will help us get better events prepared in the future. We ask you not to comment any other reply. Only express what is right for you in the GETAWAY type of event.

 

(Note: please do not suggest new events, or changes to them in this thread.)

As a first example, I will tell my "BVATC-tweet" ...

 

"I really like the fact that a Getaway is a long term event. It allows me to prepare all my charts and plans in advance and fly the preferred routes many times during the Getaway."

I like the length of Getaway. I can't always make a one night event, but with a getaway I can usually catch some flying at the non-BOS location with ATC services.

I too like the length of the Getaway, and I also like the tropical locations of most of our Getaways, living and flying in the cold Northeast can get boring sometimes. However I think that we could have more then just a Rc, there should be a Dj on Thursday, a GA Fly-In on Wednesday, to keep traffic high all week.
