Don Desfosse Share Posted July 29, 2015 It's probably pretty well known that the majority of VATSIM operations are IFR, mainly air carrier and large cargo flights. The Houston ARTCC trying something new, and is holding an event that is designed to staff every (controlled) airport within their boundaries. They will open up the floodgates to all controllers by giving a one-day "visiting status" to any VATUSA controller, and are encouraging a ton of traffic to come and fly, especially to the lesser known airports. This might be a great way for a ton of BVA "light aircraft" pilots to have some fun and really boost the traffic into lesser-known airfields to help make this event a resounding success.
