  1. And one of the most meaningful. Congrats! Great job!
  2. Can't you just use vmrgenerator to create a custom ruleset?
  3. Aw, shucks, can we have one more reminder? Please? ;D
  4. Yes, most people normally drop it and then put a note on the forums advising it's there.... (for a few seconds probably....)
  5. Keeping with the thread, I don't see that DY gave his slot away yet, though he is certainly on tap to control. So if he still has it, you could try to coordinate a slot transfer with him, knowing full well that if someone else just happened to be on trying to get a slot at the same time you were trying to work a transfer and had lucky timing, the slot could go to the other guy. (Pretty slimy by the way, DY....)
  6. Fantastic, HI. The others have all said it extremely well; you're bright, talented, are technically proficient, have a great attitude and have done a fantastic job. Congratulations!
  7. Arrrr!!!!! For years I slept over at my controller workstation the night before controlling CTPE.... After being on the planning meeting for 4 hours, then publishing our ZBW plan and getting sleep on the floor around midnight or 1am... Got up at 5ish, checked the forums for updates, went to DD and got 2 extra large coffees (which were later my relief cups) and 2 Baaaaahstin Cream Donuts and then headed back to brief and plug in and control for 10-12 hours! Arrr!!!!! Back in the old days.... Arrr!!!!!!!! :D Love, -Crusty Old Bastid
  8. Umm.... guys, this is EASTBOUND, so we're starting at 0600L..... (Or maybe you're saying the 30 is from the night before and you're just going to carry through....)
  9. Any time the ZBW TS is down, feel free to use the VATUSA TS. Login information for tonight: Login: ts.vatusa.net:9989 Password: zbw
  10. Glad you got it up so quickly... We wouldn't want to ask, "What's the Holdup?" [groan - sorry!]
  11. Congrats! There are not a lot of things in life sweeter than earning a certification during CTP! Awesome!
  12. Too funny... Everyone has to hold awaiting the ground school on holds... Priceless! ;D ;D ;D
  13. Congrats, OS! Great to see you certified in the cab at KBOS!
  14. And Chuck, although you're most likely correct that "just about no" CAP pilots have experienced VATSIM, I'll mention that the current vZBW Air Traffic Manager (Camden Bruno, who answered you above) is a CAP member, as am I (current VATSIM VATUSA Division Director, Current MAWG/DOV, former MAWG/CS)... ;) When you've got your video compiled, I'd love to see it -- ddesfosse@mawg dot cap [.] gov Thanks! :)
  15. I know I've mentioned this to a few folks, but I want to tell everyone! Normally, multi-ARTCC FNOs bring 20-40% more traffic count than an average FNO. Right now, 8:30pm, this FNO is 260% more than average! 3.6X the average traffic count!!! Holy Crow! And ZBW has 73% of the traffic! Looking at the fields for departures, right now DCA has 6, LGA has 7 and BOS has 31!!!!! Phenomenal, guys!
  16. 17. It's fantastic to see the fine tradition of excellence continuing through exceptional leadership. DB, you did a fine job and can be proud of your accomplishments, helping to mint some outstanding controllers, put on world-class events, and help lead a first-ever, world-class merger of giants-of-excellence. BN, you had a tremendous role in all of that, and I have no doubt will lead this world-class organization to greater heights. It's truly wonderful to see exceptional leadership in an exceptional organization. We look forward to even greater things. Good luck, God bless, and God speed! Onwards and upwards!
  18. VRC stands for Virtual Radar Client, the most popular ATC client software on VATSIM.
