  11. Everyone, I want to take the time to express our thanks, as an Administration Team, to each and every member of Boston Virtual ARTCC, VATUSA, and VATSIM. We're thankful that we have the ability to share our passion and hobby with others. We're thankful for the network, VATSIM, that enables us to connect with each other to enjoy and practice what we love. We're thankful for the people that we've met and the lifelong friendships we've formed through this community. We're thankful for those who volunteer their time to make this community a better place. We're thankful for YOU, the dedicated and enthusiastic members of Boston Virtual ARTCC. On a bigger note, We're thankful for our families, friends, and loved ones. We're thankful for those who are not able to be home today because they are keeping us safe as first responders, soldiers, etc. We're thankful to be as lucky and blessed as we are. In warm homes, having the ability to read this post on a personal computer just before stuffing your stomach with plenty of food. Many around the world are not as fortunate as us. I hope everyone has a safe, happy, and healthy holiday with the ones you love. And at the end of the day, let that tryptophan kick in and catch some z's! Happy (American) Thanksgiving!

  19. Our 60 Hours of ATC event has concluded (although we are still online and going on 62 hours)! The Boston Virtual ARTCC Administration Team would like to recognize the controllers involved and thank them for their dedication throughout the weekend. Many controllers joined in staffing up the airspace and providing dozens of hours of service to pilots. It is truly extraordinary what we were able to accomplish for the second year in a row, and we would not have been able to do it without them. Considering the fact that we also had our Friday Night Ops event and Cross the Pond Eastbound, I'd say it was a pretty successful weekend. We'd also like to thank all pilots who flew into or out of our airspace during the 60 hours. You made the event fun and enjoyable for all, giving our controllers consistent traffic even during the overnight hours! It was incredible to see the event-level traffic throughout the day today! It resulted in Boston Logan being fully staffed almost all day long - A quick shoutout to our Boston Tower controller, Ben Dudley, for pulling a 15 hour shift. Last but not least, thank you to our neighboring ARTCCs for the support throughout the weekend. Please take the time to send our controllers feedback so that we know how we did. Feedback can be sent via www.bvartcc.com/feedback We look forward to next year's 60 Hours of ATC event and wish you blue skies and happy landings until then.
  20. 60 Hours of ATC has started! Boston Center will be staffed until 10/15 at 11pm ET. Additionally, our Friday Night Ops event takes place tonight from 7-11pm ET. Additional controllers will also be online throughout the weekend. See planned coverage on our ATC Timetable!
