Please join me in congratulating Eli Schwartz (SZ), as he recently achieved his Class C DEL/GND certification. He successfully handled every trick I threw at him. It's been great working with SZ over the past few weeks, as he is a hard worker and came prepared to each and every session. Again, fantastic job and I look forward to seeing you on the scopes! Best,

Reminder! This is tonight. Hope to see everyone there. -
UPDATE! Boston has been selected as one of the featured departure airports for the 2016 Cross The Pond Eastbound event! VATSIM's biggest and most challenging event takes place on Saturday, October 22 from ~6:15am-5pm ET. More information at: http://ctp.vatsim.net/. This is a serious event and pilots who are planning to book or fly transatlantic should be flying an add-on jetliner with FMS/routing capability as well as familiarity with oceanic procedures. Pilots flying the event book departure slots for Cross The Pond. Slots are limited, and they typically book very quickly. An announcement will be posted on this thread when bookings will open. The same as last time, bookings made will be estimated slot times (+/- 15 minutes) and estimated flight levels (+/- 1000ft). Actual slot time and flight level will be confirmed (via email and via login on the CTP website) along with your full route on the day of the event. Updates regarding the event will be posted in this thread as well as available on the CTP website. We hope you enjoy the event! Departure Airports: Boston (KBOS) New York JFK (KJFK) Miami (KMIA) Dallas Fort-Worth (KDFW) Arrival Airports: London Heathrow (EGLL) Zurich (LSZH) Amsterdam (EHAM) Hamburg (EDDH)

LOL. I'm gonna be honest, this completely slipped my mind. Yeah, no. Unless we organize a sleepover then i'm out. I'm not an early morning type of person...

We'll need another type of 30 as well...

I'd be interested in attending if people want to meet up in the Boston area. However, as you stated, we've had our two official live events for the year. SimCon being more formal and conference-focused to demonstrate BVA and what we're about. And Tea Party, BVAs official live controlling event. Point being that Cross the Pond isn't our event, so we won't be sponsoring the meet-up or making it an official live event by any means. All that said, if a few controllers/pilots want to get together at someones house and control/fly for the event I think that'd be a fun idea. It's just a matter of finding space, as a purchased venue is not an option. We could also encourage people to meet up based on real-world location. I.e. the folks in the Boston area could coordinate a meet-up while the west-coast folks do the same out there. Also keep in mind this is during the school year so many members won't be able to join because of that.

Server Hosting Expenses - Dispute to be filed with NYC
Camden Bruno replied to Evan Reiter's topic in Announcements
Mark, Yes, now that we are a VATSIM organization, we do not have any servers dedicated for online flying. All of the online flight simulation servers that we connect to the VATSIM network with are hosted by VATSIM. We do still have servers of our own for the TeamSpeak, website, etc. (just like all other ARTCCs do) but those are not through GalaxyVisions. Thanks so much, -
